In Response To: I'm getting worried *Small HGN Spoilers* (Cody Miller) To each their own. I personally found the HGN to be quite worth every penny I spent on it, if not only for the artwork but the depth of the stories presented. When one looks past the obvious stuff, and pays careful attention, a whole slew of surprising bits of information begin to pop up. For example: -Hey, "sufficient cognitive capability" apparently includes animals. Well, shit; looks like its time for Flood housepets, ne? -The nature of Covenant religious doctrines, beliefs, and hierarchy is fleshed out much more, as well as their military deployments, fleet structure, and tactics. -Massive info on UNSC politics that are only barely explored in the novels. -Nearly everything about the Flood. -Page 122 has as information and questions on it alone as any of the other stories. -ELITES DUAL-WIELDING ENERGY SWORDS. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! And most importantly of all: -The Arbiter has a really snazzy cloak. |
