In Response To: I'm getting worried *Small HGN Spoilers* (Cody Miller) Don't get me wrong, great art, great job broadening the scope of the Halo Universe, a few neat stories, but for what I paid for, I think it was lacking a little bit. I mean, one of the Halo Novels costs what? 6.99$? Pictures and funky art or not, it's much more rewarding to read through it and there's overall a pile or two extra of content compared to this. And for much less. Sure, I sorta have to imagine the pictures in my head, but it's a real novel... Again, don't get me wrong, I loved the HGN, but in my opinion, the thing should've been a paperback to make it cheaper, and instead of dozens of pages of art (Admittedly some really great art!) there could've been some short stories or something. Or maybe at least an extra comic or two. More content story-wise. The HGN is pretty to look at, has a couple of decent stories, but again, after thinking about it and looking at it, it's overpriced. I know, a lot of hard work went into it, but still -- it should be called the 'Halo Art Gallery Book' instead of the 'Halo Graphic Novel'. It isn't all I wanted it to be - all that it should be. The problem is this: too much Graphic not enough Novel. I still love it though, but you probably get that already. :) |
