[snip] Just a factual point here-Cortana has made mistakes. Thus, it's possible for her to make more. What mistakes? Well... -Sending the MC off to stop Keyes, and not having him take her along. -In the level "Keyes", when she teleports you into the ship upside down. -Again, on the level Keyes, when she directs says, "The Covenant Battlenet is a mess. I can't access the ship's schematics. My records indicate that a shuttle bay should be... Here. " It turns out to be something else. -Assault on the Control Room: "I didn't think there were any human forces left on this part of the ring...." -And, let's never forget her biggest mistake ever. Truth & Rec. Belly of the Beast. "No Covenant forces detected." There's just a few of 'em, in there... ;-) There's a few for you... So, yes, a "Smart AI" can indeed make mistakes... Some of them related to detection, even, in good circumstances. Not at all like trying to locate something in the immediate aftermath of a gigantic nuclear blast, which would release loads of radiation, making it difficult to detect much of anything... -Nate | |
