(this will make more sense to people if u have read the spoiler for First Strike and how it talks about the spartans in the pelican that is free falling down to the planets surface) im ready TFOR again and i noticed something. in the book when it describes a planet being glaced it talks about how the planet isnt completly destoryed at first, basicly the oceans are gone and so is all plant life, buildings etc. but the atmosphere around the planet would last about a day and they disapate. so if people were living underground than they could still survive a little while until the planet was completly gone. also in TFOR it talks about dr. hasley's lab and how it is so deep in the ground it could withstand a nuclear detonation. my theory is that the spartans survived the fall down to the surface, fought off the covies for a short while and then went into the underground installations in Reach. then if ship was stored underground the spartans could use it to leave reach after the covie fleet left the system. my guess is that Master cheif after leaving Halo was on his way back to UNSC space and met up with the other spartans. then they could be the group that goes to the covie homeworld like it says in the spoiler. (thats just my theory on what might happen in first strike and Halo 2) | |
