Since the [admittedly] huge spoilers for First Strike http://www.randomhouse.com/catalog/display.pperl?0345467817 have come about I think we ought to rethink our dear Cortana's

Or something to that affect.

Do you remember when we all thought she was a murdering evil 'rhymes with switch'? This just makes a Cortana Hater like me happy.

Sooo - I say she either A) made a mistake [pretty impossible for a Smart AI]
B) Tried to make the MC kill the others because she's a mass murdered ****head
C) Followed the script and then got sold out by book publishers wanting more.

I go for B
