Anyway those are my thoughts on the > subject. Actually... If I remember correctly, the Halo is drifting towards Jonesworld (Threshold), per one of the previews' storylines. I agree that some sort of corrective system would be important, though. MIT students once figured out that Niven's Ringworld was unstable, and -would- shift out of its orbit, requiring correction. (Which he addressed in his book, "Ringworld Engineers") No- the Halo is not identical to the Ringworld, but I suspect that many of the forces would be the same. -Noctavis
