Two possible definitions.

In Response To: I'm dissapointed in you guys... (Maxaminus) I do not know if this even qualifies as "orbiting", per se. I think it would be fun to have some "thing" that flies outside the atmosphere. It could fly in circles that extend overhead (beyond the atmosphere), go around one air "wall", arc outside the outer rim of the ring, past the other air wall and back overhead; though not over the exact location as the previous circle. As the craft circles any ring segment, the ring continues to rotate around its own axis, presenting the craft with new targets with each pass overhead. Thus, one form of "orbital bombardment" could exist when this thing attacks. Further, perhaps the phrase "orbital bombardment" has less to do with the bombarder, and more to do with what is being bombarded. The ring (Island number ?) orbits Threshold and can be called an "orbital." Either way, it seems fun to think of the bombardment as coming from space. Dispatcher
