I have to admit, I'm not sure what the big deal is. Take two engines capable of generating a reasonable amount of thrust. Not a high requirement, even the Marathon had something like that. Attach them to the outside of the ring and point them in opposite directions. Fire them both up at the same time. When you reach the right rotational speed, cut them off. Any of you physics bizaches see any problem with that? I have to assume from Nathan's smileys, however, that it's not as pedestrian as that. > Nathan > p.s.
