In Response To: Re: Internal orbits (Mark Levin) Yes there is... because if you even TRY it on the ground, you have to deal with distortion from YOUR part of the atmosphere, and then the distortion from THEIRS. it would need a doubly powerful scope to cut the atmospheric twinkling and blur. Makes more sense to do it from space... no limits to where you can focus, no rotational jitter, half the atmospheric distortion.
