But since the Halo is ring-shaped, rather than spherical, a spy satellite or something similar wouldn't really be able to orbit in a conventional manner. You might be able to place it dead centre of the ring and relay images from there. Or it might orbit the Halo on a plane not parallel to the Halo's shape, and catch peeks at the inner surface when it's not occluded by the outer ring... Still, Bungie says we'll be able to use (or at least experience) "orbital bombardment". Which implies bombardment from orbit. At least, it does to me, but maybe I have the wrong definition... -sep |
