HULK SWEARS TO YOU THAT EVERY BIT OF FORETHOUGHT AND LOGIC WAS ADDRESSED AND ACCOUNTED FOR...
THE MOVIE WAS TRANSFORMERS.
WHICH MEANS, OF COURSE, THAT NONE OF IT ENDED UP MATTERING. BECAUSE THAT PARTICULAR MOVIE SEEMS AS IF THEY NEVER TALKED ABOUT THE THINGS THAT ACTUALLY MATTER IN STORYTELLING. AND THIS WHOLE DYNAMIC IS A BIT OF A DISTURBING TREND. FOR SOME REASON, HOLLYWOOD HAS BECOME PREOCCUPIED WITH BUILDING MYTHOLOGIES AND HAMMERING OUT BACKSTORY AND LOGIC, BUT AS HULK HAS HOPEFULLY ILLUSTRATED TO YOU IN SOME SMALL WAY OVER THE COURSE OF THIS ESSAY, THOSE THINGS ARE RARELY WHAT COME THROUGH AND MAKE MOVIES ACTUALLY GOOD."
