In Response To: Why recycle environments for multiplayer? (jazo) : In all the Halo games there has obviously been a sense that the maps we : played in multiplayer were somewhat inspired by stuff from campaign. : However in none of them were we told right out "In this new Halo, the : multiplayer maps are taken directly from campaign, possibly at a different : time of day..." and what not. : Why is this necessary? Part of the ongoing appeal of some of my favorite maps
: I guess what I'm hoping is that if this is the way Bungie is creating
: Thoughts? I agree. Maybe that was taken out of context or maybe some of the maps will be direct parts of the campaign (a la ODST...maybe for Firefight mode) wheras there will be unique maps for multiplayer....I bet this is what we will see. A Firefight mode with parts of single player maps that lend themselves to long stalemates with the Covies (and returning Elites as baddies) but the competitive MP we all know and love and have for years will be unique maps. Let's all hope for this option.
