Let's say for argument's sake, the Elites don't considers humans a worthy adversary. They think we're worms or ants. Where's the honor to be gained in stomping an ant. Even if there's no honor...could there be a lack of honor in even making the attempt? I think they could have made the Covenant species truly alien, but instead, adopted what most sci-fi does and made their alien characters relatable in terms humans are familiar with. : It wasn't outright denounced, but it was pretty clear that it wasn't : especially liked, at least by Bungie. : 343 on the other hand are rather more dedicated to trying to reconcile things : where they feel they can. : What can we say, Contact Harvest was Joe's chance to really shake things up : more to his liking and vision of the Halo universe and, by Jove, he took : it. And look how it messed things up. :) I also like Contact Harvest. Just wish it played nice with the others. : As it happens, Contact Harvest remains my favourite of the Halo novels. I have to become more familiar with the nuances of the changes made to the 'Definitive Edition' Fall of Reach. It's hard to remove from memory nearly 10 years of 'fact' and try and replace it with new 'fact'.
