It sounded like it was a commissioned piece by 343 PR. Some of their "feel good" arguments were a little bizarre as well. It's great to have Kenneth Scott on the team because "his talents ... may really shine through". Propping up Corrinne Yu because she worked at Ion Storm was odd as well. They mention Deus Ex, but to the best of my knowledge she had very little to do with that game (or at least any of the reasons why people like the game). They indicate she was director of technology, but anyone who played the original knows that the tech was one of the worst aspects of that game. I think most of her work experience during her Ion Storm days were on Prey, which turned into a disaster and was never released (the one that came out a few years ago was a complete reboot). I'm not disparaging either individual since they both appear to be good at their jobs from what I've read, but the way this article tries to get that across is just weird. To be honest, I have no feelings towards 343 one way or the other because I've pretty much checked out of the Halo series at this point. I stopped caring about the "universe" years ago (partly because their non-stop retconning in each game/book made it apparent that there is no universe per say, and each Halo "experience" is completely self-contained), so at this point all that's left for me is the gameplay. I hope Halo 4 is good, but simply because I enjoy well made games--the fact that it's related to Halo is incidental at this point.
