(FoolsRun) : To be honest, I have no feelings towards 343 one way or the other because : I've pretty much checked out of the Halo series at this point. I stopped : caring about the "universe" years ago (partly because their : non-stop retconning in each game/book made it apparent that there is no : universe per say, and each Halo "experience" is completely : self-contained), so at this point all that's left for me is the gameplay. : I hope Halo 4 is good, but simply because I enjoy well made games--the : fact that it's related to Halo is incidental at this point. Well 343i has said going forward they're going to make everything agree and be canon and not retcon things or have side stories or isolated stories... but I'm not sure they'll succeed, and some parts of that don't sound like the best thing to do. I'm curious, how many years ago? I wasn't aware of any significant retcons (besides maybe what Sgt. Johnson was and why he survived) that happened until Contact Harvest or later.
