In Response To: Re: this (General Vagueness) : no, I mean it was that way in The Fall of Reach, but not any of the games or : the following books, even though almost all of them happen in a 4-5 month : span-- I haven't read the book yet, but wasn't it the case that even : during the battle for Reach the Elites were pretty present all over? but : they'd been first seen what, two months before? and then they're all over : in the first Halo The Master Chief's first encounter with an Elite was on Gamma Station during the fall or Reach. That was 2-3 weeks prior to the events of Halo 1. (and most of the intervening time was Slipspace travel between). The games take place after the fall of Reach, so yes, Elites are prevalent in the games. No Brutes though because they were introduced as the Honor Guard for Prophets and high security facilities like the Unyielding Hierophant, which explains their absence in Halo 1. The Elites weren't 'all over' Reach, no.
