(FoolsRun) : As for story inconsistencies, I had a problem with the way that the books and : games were, for all intents and purposes, in two separate universes. I : know that Bungie said early on that the books were not canon, but then I : have to wonder what the point of them is. Bungie never said that. There have been members of Bungie who have mentioned how certain expanded universe items are or aren't canon at the moment, and some who have said that there are tiers of canon-ness, but they've never said outright that the books were not canon.
