In Response To: Re: Too early for an opinion on 343i (FyreWulff) 343 quote: "players should remember that 'normal' Reach gameplay can and will continue untouched in its own Matchmaking playlists." I guess you're getting hung up on the words "untouched" and "its own Matchmaking playlists." But what exactly is being left untouched? I would argue that since the earlier part of the sentence is talking about normal gameplay versus TU gameplay, the "untouched" refers to the gameplay. That would leave "its own Matchmaking playlists" to mean "playlists dedicated to untouched normal Reach gameplay." Therefore, they are promising that there will be certain playlists with untouched normal Reach gameplay, NOT that there will be untouched playlists. Their original sentence could've been worded more clearly, but I don't think 343 has broken any promises. As long as they have at least 1 playlist with untouched normal Reach gameplay, they have not broken any promises. I'm not saying that's a good strategy, but technically, it would be correct. And just for good measure, here are the Multiplayer Matchmaking playlist counts as it stands right now: 11 Vanilla
So I don't see any reason to worry about normal Reach disappearing.
