I like a lot of the people who work at 343i. I've played with them, talk to them on Twitter, and they're a great bunch of folks. However, I really dislike the direction they've taken. I know a lot of people like the expanded universe and that includes the Forerunner novels. I am not one of them. I loved the first three or four Halo books, but after Ghosts of Onyx and Contact Harvest, I lost all interest. The motion comics were a great step forward, but the TU was two steps back. Mixing the playlists was flailing backwards of a fucking cliff. Ah well...
