And as far as my : personal gripes are concerned, I love Squad Battle and it's about to get : turned into a playlist I won't plan on touching (because I still clearly : have options not to). This Anniversary stuff gets old after a while, and : thus I go back to standard Reach, but 343 Industries has just made it very : unclear as to what the future of standard Reach is to bear. Very interesting. Thanks for that info. Again, I still see this as a case of interpretation. When Frankie mentions Anniversary--I don't hear, "these changes are just for the Anniversary playlists." Instead I hear, "we're using this as a tool to see how we are going to roll out the additional changes we are making." What also makes me think the changes will completely take over all of matchmaking (TU not Anniversary) is the fact that it is a title update. If it's an update to the game, I, like you, expect more of a global change, rather than a half-assed attempt to make everyone happy. Second is the word beta. I think of the hopper as a test for changes to come to most of Reach. And after having conversations, in person, with 343 staff, I've also realized that the Beta hopper will be a place where they test changes that will be applied to matchmaking, before they just roll em out. The last part is that Frankie mentions this is just phase one. How many phases are there? Who knows. But the fact that he uses this phrase makes me believe more changes are in the pipelines. let's not forget to add in the fact that he says the Beta is the 3rd/4th popular playlist. I think the numbers would show that if people are playing it that much, they must like the changes in them. My main quarrel is still the fact that I don't see where one would think the TU is *only* for Anniversary.Could be just me. Hell, maybe it's misinterpretation on my part. But from what I see 343 has been true to their word. I just wish they would yank the band-aid off instead of trying to ease it back.
