(bryan newman) : As much as I like MLG, it is by no means essential for a game to thrive. : There are 2 kinds of MLGer (Not a word I know ) in this world. There are : the 12 year olds that have a game battles account (The 99%) and there are : the actual MLG players that go to tournaments (The 1%) : As a MLG player I despise game types with the following things (Assault : Rifle, Shotgun, and Armor Abilities) That's why MLG players don't play the : Arena, even though it is ranked it is a really shitty playlist that still : caters to casual weapons. : In the end however it is too late to fix Reach MLG. MLGers can hope that Halo : 4 is more suited for competitive gameplay the way that H3 was. In my : opinion however if they don't then fine, who cares. As long as H4's story : is fantastic then that is good enough for me. My MLG days are behind me : anyway. : BTW Call of Duty is proof that MLG is not needed, CoD is a casual game that : appeals to a casual audience. That is never going to change, they only : added the MLG part of CoD because there was a small amount of money to be : made. As a matter of fact did you know that MLG does not support Xbox 360 : as it's Call Of Duty console? It is sponsored entirely by Sony (And if you : look at the #'s 360 out numbers CoD players on PS3 almost 3:1 so it is : stupid anyway) I really want to like you competitive gaming, I really do, but you make it hard for me to love you.
