In Response To: MLG and Halo: Is this the end of the road? (RVideo) : Over at another forum, we have been talking quite a lot about the future of : Halo in MLG. Many insiders including Gandhi and Neighbor (both household : names for H2 MLG) have their doubts as to the future of MLG Halo. : For the last venue that recently aired, the fan turnout was low compared to

: http://www.twitch.tv/gandhimlg/b/301365648 The problem I've always had with MLG Halo gameplay was that it wasn't the same game as I play. All of the special settings and maps were different. I am of the opinion MLG should always use the default version of the current Halo title. Casual players lose their aspirations to move into competitive processes that are confusing and already kick their ass. I provide the MLG playlist population as an example. It's notoriously low as compared to default playlists. Is it because the settings suck or is it because it sets itself apart too much from the norm. It also attracts players that will kick the ass of casual players. I look at the MLG playlist and I say to myself, why do I want that pain? It's not what I pick for customs and it's not what I play in MM. How many other casual players are saying the same thing? As far as something to watch online, MLG Halo is too boring for me. Weapon sandbox is too limited, maps are too different, vehicle use isn't there and many other things that do not mirror what I do when I play. I do not find it entertaining to watch my favorite game get played in a foreign way. Maybe MLG Halo should also have a league tournaments for default gameplay. Just to see what would happen. It's a very complex issue.
