1) When did anyone ever say anything about Theater mode? How is that even remotely relevant to this discussion? 2) Forge and the various customization options being there isn't the problem. The problem is that default Reach is not suitable for competitive play, thus requiring MLG to make use of Forge to create a game that is very different from what everyone else plays. If Forge and the customization options weren't there, a lot of people would just say "fuck it," admit that the game they're stuck with isn't going to work for competitive play, and drop out. Forge isn't the problem.
