In Response To: John 117 < "The Savior" (Eagle 117) : I actually don't think John represents the savior of mankind, at least not in
: - Eagle 117 Basically, without getting too in depth, I see John as possibly having influences from Enoch or Elijah. These are the only two individuals in the Bible who never died. Instead, they transitioned straight to heaven. In Revelation it is told that two prophets will come to Israel in the end times. These two prophets have always been speculated to be Enoch and Elijah since they never died... that's Biblical scholar’s work, not mine. Anyways, the Dictionary of Angels tells that both individuals were transformed into angels upon their transfiguration; although, there is a legend that Elijah was an angel from the very beginning. Enoch became Metatron; Elijah became Sandalphone. Both angels are referred to as Angles of the Covenant and Forerunner angels. Metatron is considered to be the link between humans and the divine, whom I laid out to represent the Forerunners in my initial arguments. Blake wrote that Elijah was a composite devil and angel, which fits the profile of the MC... remember, the Covenant refer to him as a him a demon/devil. There is one other individuals I see to have possible influence on the character development of John. He is the greatest of all angles, Micheal, a.k.a. The Warrior Angel. I don’t have time to get into that right now, as there are several interesting similarities between the two, so I’ll post about it later:-) - Eagle 117 |
