Ampersand is represented in ASCII by the number 38. If you order all the numbers on the 5th dial, 38 would fit in seventh place. The same happens with the Mayan 74 if you order all the numbers on the 7th dial. 74 would be the seventh number. Bungie loves sevens, so this could be a sign that these guesses are on the right track.

Another interesting thing-- if you add all the numbers on the seventh dial, then add the Mayan 74, you get 365. Does this puzzle have something to do with dates, or am I just seeing patterns where none really exist?
