Ahh ok heres the deal, I think you need to take me as your proxy editor so when I say "I" I mean "I'm attempting to respond to your ridiculous demands in a humorous manner"

How to Keep Loyal Fans Happy, it should actually read How to Keep Rabid Hype Mongers Happy

What are my interests? I think you can boil it down to this: I, as a rabid hype monger, feel cheated to a) have to wait 2 years for a game because my armchair programing skills could have done it in a month that b) cost me $700+ because I couldn't be bothered to shop around and c) didn't meet the expectations my hype induced stupor created for it. I'm not the only person who decided that my vision of the game was the only right way, as demonstrated by the overeaction on the board, so let's pretend that I'm the proxy for all those other rabid hype junkies and that when I say "me" I really mean "everyone who created their own game in their head".

Now the rest is pretty good but I'm afraid I'm just going to have to translate this one part:


Bungie's options:
1. they could give me a rebate of a few hundred dollars (I'm a whiny bitch who can't be bothered to take the thing I don't like back)
2. they could send me some other Xbox titles (I don't like your games and I have no use for my Xbox, but could you send me games anway ?)
3. they could include some Easter Eggs or extra levels in the next version of Halo as a special thank you to loyal fans for sticking with them (Make my game the way I envision it!)
4. they could give loyal Halo fan's a special discount on their next title (and I should be the one to decide who is a loyal fan)
5. they could fly a few of us - lottery-picked - to Bungie Studios to take part in the recording of Halo marines' voices for the next title. (I still don't like the game but can I be in the next one ?)
6. they could donate stuff to Halo fan sites to distribute - again by lottery -to loyal Bungie fans... (again I will be deciding who the loyal fans are I expect a lottery of 1)
7. key Bungie staff could make themselves available on this forum or others for Q&A as an acknowledgement that loyal Bungie fans have put up with a lot waiting for the release of Halo. (Yes that's right I'm snubbing all the people who post here now, but could you send some more Important people to post here ?)

Ok so don't get too offended, but come on, you are comparing the game to your personal expectation of it, if you don't like the game fine, but if you like the game what are you whining about?
