Wow. That's a hell of a lot of presumption based off one sentence. I never said that, and I don't believe it. As Vagueness just kind of stated- I don't believe any of this is relevant if the author doesn't intend it. That doesn't mean works can't be interpreted in different ways. It does mean that you can't claim the author is immoral based on your interpretations. If immorality is not what these interpretations are about, then I REALLY think feminists are wasting their time finding vagina analogies. Fight discrimination against women. That's a real problem with conceivable solutions. Stop trying to guess at what other people are thinking or intending. All of this ignores the immense amount of arrogance it takes to tell someone what they REALLY meant by their own goddamn work. But I don't want to get into a pissing contest about that.
