But the inter-character relationships in : previous Halo games, like the Johnson/Miranda byplay or the ODST squad, : clicked for me in a way Reach's empty tin men didn't. (Or is it only : because I got to be all the ODSTs? I don't know. I never really felt like : I was Romeo...Buck or not-Wash a bit more so.) : Obviously YMMV. It's because their voice actors were culled from an established universe where they really work, imo. Really, it's quite possible that the writing and voice acting could have really saved Reach's characterization for me.
