In Response To: Who is Reach's main character, anyway? (SonofMacPhisto) That's how I played it. How I've played all the Halo games. All the other characters are there to support my experience. Once we hit ODST and now in Reach, you play the team FNG. So, when it comes to Reach, there are definitely a lot of things there to support the experience through the growth of these characters toward your character, as opposed to these characters growing and you watch them from afar. "Welcome to Reach." "Time has come to return the favor, don't deny me this." "Make him proud." "Keep 'em. He gave 'em to you." "First glassing? Me, too." All great lines, when taken into the context that you are the lead role on this stage. I hadn't thought of expressing it in those terms until now. So, cheers to that. Sums up my feelings about the story (and why I seemed to like it so much more than most people I hear discussing it) pretty plainly.
