Who is Reach's main character, anyway?

Having mostly lurked a lot of the discussion here regarding Reach's story, I keep coming back to this question. Harmanimus' post here... http://carnage.bungie.org/haloforum/halo.forum.pl?read=1017494 ...really brought into focus the idea, for me, that Noble Team are supporting characters. The main character of Reach is YOU, playing as Noble Six. It feels like a lot of us are trying to shove supporting characters into the leading role. Won't they always fall short, and then leave us wanting? With that in mind, shouldn't discussion regarding character development and the story focus on how YOU developed while playing Noble Six? How did you feel? Where did you grow and change, as a character, over the course of the narrative?
