Halo 2 timeline *IMG*

Sorry this is so wide, but it's a long story...

I made this image to help me reconcile how the timing works between Halo 2's parallel storylines,
and found some interesting things concerning what occurs simultaneously and what doesn't. For one
thing, the Chief seems to be knocked out for a very long time after falling into the water- long enough
for all those events in the Arbiter plotline to take place. Conversely, it takes the Arbiter an awfully long
time to clear out all those Brutes on Uprising, while the Chief is running through High Charity- and that
the player sees Tartarus's Phantom departing *after* he arrives at his destination. Regret
leaving for Earth was added to explain his presence as a hologram at the trial of the commander.

The top is the Arbiter and the bottom is the Chief. The red bars mark the start and end of the game.
Boxes that touch each other occur in sequence; arrows represent an indeterminate amount of time
(from the perspective of one plot or the other). Vertically aligned box edges mean events occurred
pretty much simultaneously. Box size is not related to the length of time an event takes; they were
sized to keep the confirmed simultaneous events aligned (and the events whose relative time is unknown
not aligned).
