In Response To: I'm not too keen on those bands, and I like it... (Recoil) : While I love Marty’s work, you gotta admit, it would be kinda nice to take
Yeah, and we already did that in Halo 1, to Marty's music. He's the one who wrote Rock Anthem For Saving the World, you know. These bands aren't capable of writing stuff anywhere near that good. I mean, with Hoobastank, you're talking about a band who self-admittedly doesn't actually know musical theory. I don't necessarily know about the others, but I'd be willing to bet they suck too. : Plus,
Well, duh. It's going to be one of the biggest game releases ever. But they sure won't be doing that because of a crappy soundtrack that doesn't fit artistically with what's happening oncreen. Even if they liked the crappy soundtrack, if they weren't planning on buying the game already, they'd probably just buy aforementioned soundtrack. Myself, I think that if this is true, it's probably a CD containing "music from and inspired by Halo 2", similar to the Spider-man soundtrack. I just can't see a musician of Marty's caliber letting music that so obviously wouldn't be suited to Halo's style into the game. I suppose it's possible that these bands have totally abandoned their normal styles to write music for Halo 2, but I really doubt that would happen. Especially since most of them haven't the skill to leave the pop-crap genre. -Nate |
