:Yep, so we make a minor tweak to the story. The Pfhor ship still just shows up. First contact, but we don't know which way it'll go, yet. The colony is priority 1, 'cause that's where most of the people are. There's still useful cargo aboard Marathon, & you don't want to lose it, but people come first. The cyborg knows there's nobody covering Marathon. He draws the short end of the stick (no backup, he's all that can be spared). The cyborg is still a member of the colony security team (why he's wearing the suit), and the Pfhor still just show up & begin shooting.:

Don't think thats gonna work myself. The Marathon has a security force anyway, and the marine doesn't know he's a cyborg. Without that knowledge, no one would take that job, there is a difference between heroism and supidty. Besides, why waste a shuttle for 1 security guard when the ship has a couple hundred.
