If there was going to be a marathon movie it should be different from the game, but not in plot. For one thing, I don't think it's a good idea to explain things to such a large extent, such as the fact that the main character is a cyborg, blablabla. Countless movies fail by overexplaining things, insulting the audience and ruining the suspension of reality. It would also destroy the enigma of the marathon story, which is the single greatest thing about the games.
If there were to be a movie, it should focus on things that were not so detailed in the game in order to add more depth to the universe. Obviously the games are entirely from the viewpoint of the main character (I'll call him MC, for short *heh*). A movie should focus on other characters on board the ship, maybe introducing plot elements that were completely vacant throughout the game. The MC would remain a dark figure constantly appearing to save the day and say as few words as possible. However, I think all the major events of the game should stay in the movie. Having voice actors for the AIs would be cool, though. Anthony Hopkins would make an excellent Durandal.
