Aye that sounds like a much better angle. The marine was always cloaked in doubt and questions. But I disagree with him being used as a Guardian Angel. In that case, the movie would be ruined because it would be obvious that no matter how bad the BOBs were doing, the marine would always be there to save them, effectively rendering the BOBs pointless and putting us back as square 1 with regards to the plot.

I think it would be interesting to follow the Invasion from different peoples views. Like Strauss, then a random BOB, then another random BOB etc, but not from the marines viewpoint. It may even be cool to do the odd section from the view of Durandal, ie we see the action from the view of security cameras, then it will flick to a black screen with green text appearing, sort of showing what Durandal is "thinking" of (I think this may have been done in "2001" but I cant remember). The marine should be seen and not heard, not at least until the end anyway. For example, BOB looks out of the window and sees the marine doing a little vacuum surfing, killing a few phfor, and heading towards a damaged satellite dish or somwthing (you see what I mean anyway). Then maybe a shot of a BOB/Phfor battle, then the marine running down the corridor, MA-75 blazing, and just ploughing through anything in his way and not stopping afterwards.

Hmm, actually, that sounds shit. I think we should face the fact it couldn't, or more precisely, shouldn't be done.

However, a complete Halo-Marathon port, now that would be something...
