...setting events into motion that will greatly help the crew in ways that are not fully seen or understood until the end of the film, thus creating an effective non-linear feel to the movie that would be consistent to the Marathonian style. I like this idea, but I think you'd have to slowly change point-of-view through the trilogy (of films) to eventually come to the perception of the marine. I think it would be more logical to go from seeing the marine in M1 as some sort of enigmatic shadowy savior to eventually knowing his thoughts, seeing his flashbacks, and gaining an intense knowledge of him as an individual in Infinity. IMO, this would add cohesion to the trilogy by slowly "zooming in" on one person, one idea, elimanating the variable until at the very end we learn what its all about and: we experience the cinematic version of the final screen.

With such a dynamic p.o.v., we can have both character development and dialogue AS WELL AS deep introspection of the marine, which is an essential part to the story line.

I think certain details that were never given to us in the game should also be excluded from the picture. For instance, I don't think we ever need to know the Marine's name. Ever. There should be no love interest (unless some of the 3rd party scenarios become sequels) and as for seeing his face, I think it shoul;d follow with the point-of-view "swing" in that we see very little or none in M1 and gradually seeing more until all of it in bright light at the end of MI (perhaps as the universe closes?).

I also think that it would be interesting to have M1, M2, and MI made in that order (of course), and then have several of the 3rd party scenarios coming after Infinity, each of them presenting a possible future history of the Marathon Universe (and creating mad $$$ at the box office).
