I think if it was made, it would be better if they kept it quiet that it was based on a computer game that (lets be painfully honest here), most people have not heard of. However, its true that the trilogy (especially M1) has enormous potention for a movie, but only if it strictly adhered to the original story.

And how would they deal with the marine issue? Do you see his face or not? Does he ever give any detail away about his past, present or future? Same for the AIs. They would definetly need a voice, I cant see hundreds of people desperatly reading pages of text, however I dont think a face would work (but no doubt Hollywood would have a different view). A "new" cast would probably do best. And still, how do you do a convincing Pfhor? I always think these Computer Generated monsters look stupid (why cant they get the arms right!?!?), so how do you dress someone up to look like an anorexic bug?

At least no one could class you being Destiny as a predictable ending.
