You sound like you actually expect this movie to be made. No matter how much we discuss it on the internet, no matter how cool it sounds to us, it will never, ever, happen. Not in a million years. The money, the desire, the intellectual property, the skill, and so on that it would require are spread all across the world and in all the wrong places, and that's not even taking into account whether or not it's a good idea in the first place.

The Marathon movie has been in the minds of the community since Marathon was first released, and every few months it surfaces for another round of discussion. You are the first person I have ever seen who seriously thinks it could be done; I guarantee you that ever single person who has ever said anything about a Marathon movie knows that there is no way in hell it will ever be made (that includes Gates, Katzenberg, Bungie, and everyone else on this forum).

If we can agree on this point, it'll straighten out this thread a lot (not to mention we can drop dangerous topics like merchandising and ratings).
