Theory on why there's mixed feelings on these

In Response To: Visor centric helmets, eh? *IMG* (NsU Soldier) From a psychological standpoint, I wonder if people are mixed feelings with these new armor helmets because it's hard to identify with something that looks inhuman/alien. From the edits you made in MSPaint, you gave them holes that made sense for their humanoid eyes -- not much else was changed, and one could say that these immediately look "better." Also, folks are making the call for more "visor" helmets, and complaining about the inhumane looks of the Spartan IVs. That's just my theory. I'm personally excited and hopeful that 343 continues these kind of helmets, but also gives out some more "visor" helmets to satisfy all parties. I like these "alien" helmets because it shows that we've implemented the technological ideals from Covenant/Forerunner, and implemented some of it into the new Spartans, so they look, as we say, alien themselves. I think that's awesome, and a symbol of humanity's evolution after the Human-Covenant war.
