In Response To: Grenade Indicators (Andz) I would prefer generally crisp aesthetics to indicators; in games with clean sound design, for instance, it's often possible to fully react to something and get out of its way without needing any sort of visual indicators. On the other hand, considering that this is a modern AAA title, and that there's hardly a AAA developer left in the world who's got the guts to allow their game to benefit from things classic games did well, grenade indicators sound fine. I'd especially like to a see a revert to the sorts of things that Halo 1's campaign did very well, where a good number of enemy actions are designed to rarely have a chance of killing you directly but might still drastically influence your playstyle. Like how plasma grenades are more a push to keep moving than a ball of (sometimes seemingly random) death, and how infection forms will float about and keep your shields down if you don't incorporate a classy jig into your shotgun strafing.
