In Response To: Git the Hell off mah lawn! (Quirel) : -Reach and ODST? : No mention of Halo Wars? Of the colossal mistake it was to hand the Haloverse : off to a double-A RTS developer with no expertise in doing story-driven : campaigns, demand that they cut the game down to fit on an XBox : controller, and finally push the product out the door without a few more : months of polishing? I mean, if we're talking about missteps... I understand the push to get this game out and the lack of coordination with Bungie during such a time when ODST was being developed. But I think Ensemble did a hell of a job in creating a solid RTS on the console and a fun Halo spin off as well. It's this kind of direction that I'd rather see Halo going into instead of Halo 4 (Which I still think is WAY TOO SOON!). Hell, I played Halo Wars yesterday and the multiplayer is just fun...coordinating with teammates to create an army and the push and pull between teams to see who can outwit the other. I'll give you that the story could have been a lot better, but it still was a story that I didn't mind seeing. I'd rather wait for this new trilogy to appear on the 720 around 2013 than have it on the edge of a console change. I'd also rather see a Halo Wars 2 and an ODST 2 or another new "sidestory" game before I'd see a Halo 4 because they are smaller and can finish off this generation of gaming before the next one appears (Prime time to bring back the main story). Chief can wait because there are plenty of other Halo stories to try and bring into the fold, rather than continue one storyline.
