In Response To: Welp, looks like Microsoft has no idea about Halo (Avateur) This is what I've been worried about since Bungie announce they were leaving. MS has a terrible track record with respecting franchises. Look at what happened to Rare or any of the non-original IPs from the first Xbox. If the first game isn't a hit, they don't give a shit about it, maybe giving it one more game. Halo is literally their only real franchise they have to fall back on. Epic sounds like they want to go multiplatform with Gears, Fable doesn't have multiplayer appeal, Forza is niche because it's racing, and Kinect is still pure shit after a year. Hopefully this will keep them from going full CoD with Halo, but I doubt 343 will be able to go against the rest of MS nearly has hard as Bungie could. I hope that with Frankie in charge and the great people they've hired they can keep it together. Finally looked it up just now. I see Ryan Payton from Kojima Productions, MGS4 composer Sotaro Tojima, Kynan Pearson, the lead designer of Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2, and Jason Behr the lead level designer of Metroid Prime, and Corrinne Yu sounds like a great catch. Not to mention the community and former Bungie people. Can't believe I hadn't heard about the Retro Studios guys, Metroid Prime is one of my favorite games of all time and has great level design. Saber Interactive doing work on Anniversary doesn't sound good to me. They've only really made Timeshift, and that game was really generic. But it looks good so far and Certain Affinity have done well. Ensemble too, but I'm not sure if 343 had much to do with that since there weren't public yet.(Or even formed?)
