This is true. After just having read that Microsoft released more Legendary editions after the first batch, I have no reason to buy anything other than the basic version in the future. If I really want the "awesome version" I'll just wait for it to go down to $80 like other people around here who said Microsoft would do some nonsense and that they'd be readily available for cheap a few months down the line. But that's Microsoft's own fault. : Maybe this Phil Spencer will be the best thing that ever happened to Halo's
Why? Half of Anniversary is missing and the game was already made for them by Bungie. It's still a Bungie game, just with HD added to it. And Halo 4? Haven't seen anything about it yet so it's too soon to say anything. Also, ODST and Reach were critically acclaimed and very largely loved by old and new Halo gamers alike. Going with the Master Chief forever route might be a huge mistake. At the end of it all, Phil Spencer should shut up and leave the game making to the professionals at 343 Industries who hopefully have a clue about what they're doing and some sort of autonomy to make good games (not milked franchise games that run Halo into the ground like Phil Spencer would surely love to do).
