I am a very well aware of how dismissive our society is towards people with mental illness. However, you do not have the right to behave however you want and then use your mental illness as a catch-all shield. You may have a lot going against you, but you are still responsible for how you deal with your mental illness; it is not an excuse. Every therapist, councilor, and clinical psychologist will tell you that it isn't healthy to just go, "Well I have some mental illnesses so everyone has to just deal with it." You are already aware of the difficulties you have with social interaction (because you've said you're aware of it in your posts) so it is your responsibility to work on it and not lash out at people. It is your responsibility to develop the cognitive behavioral skills to react in a productive way with people. Since you already know that you overreact to what people say, then make a habit of every time someone says something to you, you work on not reacting at all and just thinking through what they said and how to respond. That's my lay person advice; a mental health professional can give you better advice than that. But the point is: I'm sorry for the problems you've had to face due to your mental illness; I know how difficult that can be. But this does not give you the right to lash out at people and then hold up your mental illness as an excuse.
