I was hoping in my Path of K.A.P mod I wanted to make (if I an capable) to include a nighttime Forest level full of Rubicon esque swamps filled with oozes and a following boss level where you get chased by invincible demon tree branches, a burning, magma flooded city with a fire-whirl, and a recreation of a fishing village I like to visit on the northeast coast as a dream level and a Apocalypse version where black holes open and the floor drops into a black void while being pursued by another invincible boss; the universe's only being of Entropy (decay) that puts even the W'rkncacnter to shame: the Antitime. I would also include a human body level with swimmable blood that has the Pfhor Jell-O sound effects but not the damage, and virus filled liquid where you fight a C.H.A.D M1 juggernaut re-skin. (not the same as super meat boy's one, actually much more gross) Actually I would have lots of PID sprites in the mod with their original attacks. I was thinking a cross between M1's physics and Mirror's edge but without unwanted momentum loss, and fall damage. good idea for the right jump key height. I would say that the "let-go of guns" part would be a super fast holster, except for one magnum or fusion pistol since SOMJ is a cyborg.
