Let me get this straight: you start a thread on a topic, then when someone responds (admittedly, against your express wishes) asking that you back up your argument and offering evidence to the counter, suddenly the subject is dead?

And posting a polite, to-the-point reply (completely devoid of name-calling and unflattering misquotes, I might add) is tantamount to trodding all over the thread?

What is going on? Did I somehow stumble into some backwards dimension?
