I think the bigger a franchise grows and the more types of content are produced that more inconsistencies and canon alterations occur due to necessary choices. I'm open to an overarching discussion on Halo Lore, but I feel that the use of the name "isnotcanon" is a bit of an aggressive and possibly inflammatory way to go about it. It just seems like it would be geared more towards eliciting rage, instead of thoughtful discussion. On the topic of Reach, I loved the novel "Fall of Reach" and was disappointed that it really didn't tie in with the game. That said I understand why it didn't. I understand the thought process used in making Halo Reach. From interviews and developer discussion I learned that Reach was built based around the missions. It was a game of "set pieces". I believe the most egregious alterations are the dry docking of the Autumn and placing Spartan 3's on Reach. These two things were a bit shocking at first. I've heard in interviews from 343 that they are taking the story very seriously and trying to tie all the ongoing narrative together. I hope for good things and will continue to invest my time in this universe. That said, we won't know for sure until the time of Halo 4. P.S. There's a canon button just for anniversary. I can just imagine you pressing the back button over and over an saying "canon"... "not canon"... "canon" etc. Thank you for reading.
