I didn't convey my thoughts properly. I wasn't saying it was a big huge shock to all of us as the players of Halo. I was referring to how shocked Miranda and Johnson were when they arrived at Delta Halo. What, another Halo?! And then "Communicating with what?" The other installations you silly humans! And an Ark?! What????
In-game, the fact that Guilty Spark included all of those Halos in that Terminal right there just doesn't work for me.

This isn't about that. It's about canon and where it fits, and right now this individual Terminal has issues, even if it's small and nitpicky.

I just find it funny that it's not just sending a message. It looks like a hijacking of whatever terminal or monitor might be up in PoA, and I refuse to believe that no one saw it or that it wasn't reported to Keyes immediately if we were about to be obliterated by something that wasn't Covenant. That and why didn't Guilty Spark blast the Covenant ships out of the sky? This Terminal brings up too many inconsistencies and I shouldn't have to try and come up with explanations for how it fits. It looks great and should be great and fun for fan service, but not as canon. And I already mentioned human history, which we appear to agree on (even though it's not like he just saw it all right there, but it does lessen the impact of his statements on The Maw).
