The Terminals aren't so bad.

If the : ring had defenses like that and only accepted reclaimers, GS should've : attacked them right away. Covie ships have incorporated a lot of Forerunner tech. Maybe it has something to do with that? For me, the only thing that was weird was that GS seems to infiltrate the Autumn and quickly browses human history to identify them. But then what's the point of GS's line on the last level? "Human history is it? Fascinating." Heck, maybe that line will be altered for everything to fit nicely. Or, perhaps, the first scan was a cursory one, and the one that followed a more detailed one? Eh, we'll find out soon enough.
