I love Marathon's story. I enjoy playing Marathon, but not nearly as much as I enjoy reading the story page at MBO. I've enjoyed experiencing Halo as it unfolded, but I think the really good parts of the story have been transcribed, extrapolated, or debated on the story pages and forums, rather than being at the forefront of the games and books.
